La foudre sous surveillance

The European Lightning Detection Workshop “ELDW” is the yearly meeting of lightning detection network operators in Europe. This meeting gives the opportunity to all network operators to share their experience about exploitation and new applications and to get information about the evolution of the technology. The 2009 session will be organized by Météorage from October 14 to 16 in Pau - France.

Other events will take place in Pau just beside the ELDW:

- The EUCLID (European Cooperation for Lightning Detection) members will hold their annual meeting on October 12 and 13. www.euclid.org

- An open CATS (Computer Aided Thunderstorm Surveillance System) presentation will be organized on October 14 . CATS is a system, developed by Météorage, designed to allow for the valorization of the data provided by a lightning detection network.

- Vaisala will organized training sessions about LS Sensors and TLP Processor for their customers from October 19 to 20 .
- The CATS Operator's Workshop is organized by Météorage for all CATS users from October 21 to 22.

Météorage est l’hôte de la session 2009 de la conférence ELDW. Cette rencontre annuelle regroupe les opérateurs européens des réseaux de détection foudre. Cette rencontre permet aux opérateurs des différents réseaux européens de partager leur expérience et de faire le point sur les évolutions technologiques et les applications.

A cette occasion, les membres d'EUCLID (European Cooperation for Lightning Detection) tiendront leur réunion annuelle. www.euclid.org

Autour de ces deux évènements, seront également organisés une session de formation par Vaisala sur les capteurs et concentrateurs et une présentation par Météorage de son système CATS pour la gestion et l’exploitation des réseaux foudre et des applications ainsi que la réunion annuelle des utilisateurs de CATS.
